Sweep the field. Numbers swell and roll under the cursor. Aim at a stirring digit and press the left console key to pick it, then file the group in its bin — by key or by dragging.

Medium and Hard open a field bigger than the screen. Drag empty space to scroll. Pinch or mouse wheel to zoom.

Orientation

Feel. Roll the cursor across the grid. Numbers swell and shoulder aside. Some tremble, hop, droop, dance, or bloom.
Wall them off. When you find a stirring group, hold the left console key and roll a rubber-band box around it. Only numbers that are already stirring get claimed — cold data inside the box is ignored. A short tap still picks a single number.
Woe. Woe sinks and stays quiet. Read the bins — each shows filed/owed — then rest the cursor still over a suspect patch. As louder tempers leave, the field calms and Woe becomes easier to reason out.
Carry. Press on a picked number and drag it to a bin. Release off a bin to park the group back on the field.
Survey. On Medium and Hard the field runs past the screen. Drag empty space to scroll, pinch or mouse wheel to zoom. Arrow keys pan, +/− zoom, 0 fits the whole field.
Console. On touch devices the trackball steers the cursor: push past the middle of the view and the field scrolls along until it runs out of room. Hold left and roll a box; tap left to pick one; right lets everything go. With a mouse, click numbers, or hold Shift and drag a box.
File. The 01–05 keycaps on the tower file your picked numbers straight into that bin. On a keyboard, the 1–5 keys (top row or numpad) do the same.
Quota. Fill every bin to close the file. Five files make a completed shift.

Scary shakes. Cheer hops. Woe sinks. Frolic orbits. Joy blooms.

Options

Console position — which side of the bins the trackball and keys sit on (touch devices).

Digital rain — matrix mode: the board speaks mirrored katakana, every new file rains its characters into place, and code streams fall behind the field.

Terminal hue — retint the whole console.
